It was a speakeasy, Country Western bar, political hangout…

Today, The Townhouse is an upscale dining establishment.

I’ve had many lunches and dinners here both solo and in groups. I’ve never found the service or food to be anything less than excellent.

Always have a great dinner at Townhouse. Daily specials and desserts. Good wine selection and the staff is very knowledgeable To make suggestions. Entree salads. Seafood specials, prime rib, appetizer… can’t go wrong. We are there about 1x month.

Great food and I love the fact that the well vodka happens to be Russian Standard , the wings, the avocado bruschetta and the calamari we had outside and it was excellent thanks to our good friend Doug who recommend and took us there !!!! Will definitely go back on date night

Great food and cocktails! Nice atmosphere and good for a date night! I had the Summer Squash Ravioli which was served over/with summer corn & cherry tomatoes. Hubby had the Prime Rib with Mashed Potatos. The Mojito and the Raspberry Lemon Drop were both good….and the Espresso Martini was awesome!!! Definitely will go back!

I can’t believe that I’ve never reviewed this place! I love it, absolutely love coming here. I was introduced to this place by a tech consultant who was working with a small startup that I worked for. I was blown away. So blown away, that I returned two nights later with my boyfriend (now husband). He got a prime rib and loved it. I love that they are comfortable dealing with my food issues and are quite respectful. I also appreciate that they have a kicking bar. The drinks are fantastic! But the food, everything is first rate, including the sides that come with the main dishes. In addition to my husband, I’ve apparently turned on the rest of my family - dad, sisters, etc. onto this gem.

Easily one the the best dinners I’ve had! Tonight I had the fried calamari which was really nice when you ask for the chipotle aioli sauce. Then for my entree I had the seafood special, which had mussels, prawns, salmon, halibut, and scallops with potatoes and squash in a buttery, garlicky rosemary sauce. SO GOOD. It reminded me of white cream sauce cioppino, but not as messy! Was really good especially when you dipped in the complimentary bread they give. The atmosphere was causal yet elegant. Outside seating and indoor seating, we sat outside because it was such a nice evening. Bonus for having a parking lot! Highly recommend if you are in the Emeryville area for an elevated dinner.

My family had a wonderful experience at townhouse bar and grill. We arrived without a reservation on a Saturday with a family of 5 and they were more than accommodating. Kevin our server was phenomenal: both friendly and attentive. We started with the garlic french fries (delicious) and each one of my family members thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Finished it with the banana cheesecake and espresso martinis which I have now decided are my new guilty pleasure. Delicious.

Let me first say I was pleasantly surprised by the entire layout of this restaurant. It was recommended by a friend of mines boss and he was spot on! Our server was Rebecca, she greeted us with a warm smile & hello. She went over the chef’s specials which she had to do twice because the list of items was long. We ordered cornmeal fried calamari as a appetizer and cocktails, incredible! I settled for the King Salmon with a assortment of veggies it was amazing! My buddy had a seafood dish which he said was the best he’d ever had. I highly recommend this establishment for groups, just hanging out, parties etc. you will love it!
